What will it cost for Ian Reid to do all this for me?

Nothing, unless you have specifically authorised out of pocket expenses. (For example, some circumstances may require our travelling expenses to be met.) The normal selling fee (the "commission") applies to the agent you choose, but you will not pay one extra cent to have Ian Reid's services as your Advocate in the sale of your home. There are absolutely no charges, fees or hidden costs whatsoever. The agent whom you choose will simply pay Ian Reid a fee from their commission earned. It is quite normal practice in the real estate industry for one agent to pay a referral fee to another. Worth noting too, is that if, for any reason, there is no sale, or if you decide at any time not to sell, there will be NO fee at all payable to Ian Reid.

Does it matter where I live?

No! The Services of Ian Reid's Vendor Advocacy Australia are available to everyone selling property, wherever they may live throughout Australia.

Whose board would I have on my property?

If you choose to have a board, it would be the agent you appoint, not Ian Reid. We believe it's vital for you to have the knowledge, the expertise and the visibility of your local agent when it comes to things like signboards, marketing and advertising. They're the ones with the local impact and the track record of sales success in your district that will attract the right buyer to your property. Ian Reid's job is to make sure the agent you choose is the right one for you in the first place and then, during the marketing period, to make sure the agent performs, to oversee the marketing, to vet any offers, to ensure that, on the day of the sale, you have the best possible result. Our task is to take the pressure off you throughout the whole selling process and ensure you get the top price for your home with the least amount of hassle.

How many agents will you talk to for me?

As many as you like. We've found in over three decades in real estate, that most people generally talk to about 3 agents when selling their family home. But we now have a huge database of the best agents in Australia, whom we've used successfully before, so it may not be at all necessary to go through the process of multiple-agent interviews. However, we're happy to talk to as many as necessary for you, to identify and recommend the perfect agent to handle your sale. It's absolutely the stress-free way to appoint a real estate agent!

Will all the agents agree to work with Ian Reid?

What we have found is that reputable and professional agents are delighted to work with us. They know they will be accountable to us and, through us, to you, and they recognise the value of the service we are providing to you. Those agents who are unwilling to allow their methods and their practices to be available to scrutiny are probably not the right agents to be given the responsibility of handling your sale.
